How do I make sure an item will fit in my home?
All you need is a measuring tape and a few minutes—but trust us, it’s time well spent. Measuring in advance helps avoid any delivery day disappointments.
Here’s what to check:
- Hallway & Doorways: Measure the width and height of your front door and any internal doorways the item will need to pass through.
- Stairs & Lifts: If you have stairs—especially narrow ones with tight turns—or a lift, measure carefully to ensure the item can fit through and around corners.
- Entrance Clearance: If there’s a wall directly opposite your front door, double-check that the item can turn or fit through. We recommend ensuring the hallway width exceeds the item's depth, diagonal depth, or height.
